In the reading Global Media, Neoliberalism, and Imperialism  can be related to Chomskey's Movie on Manufacturing consent and just Chomskey's ideas in general because in this reading the ideas it talks about can be related to the five filters. For example in the global media system, back in the 80's and 90's the national media systems were typified by domestically owed  radio, television, and news paper industries, for example ABC was owned by ABC and it was strictly in the US, but now today this all is changing, now the comercial market media is globally owned,this is known as a n oligopoly like ABC is now owned by Disney. This relates to Chomskey because it clearly shows one of his five filters, Ownership.  These Media systems dont want to get out done by competitors thats why they are moving globally to find companies of long term.

 advertising: the comercial media system relies on the main media system to get their products out and known , like it says in the reading, the comercial media system is the necessary transmition belt for buisnesses to market their wares across the world.

neoliberalism is like allowing liberalism to have more freedom like allowing the companies to go global. in the past twenty years we have gone from hundreds and hundreds of individually owned companies to just like a dozen of the top
